Homeschooling Choices You must annually submit a Notice of Intent to homeschool. You can get this form from the public school superintendent in your area. Formally Withdrawing From Public School If your child already attends public school, it's always a good idea to formally withdraw them to avoid any confusion. Contact your local superintendent and ask for the proper way to do so. There is a 14 day waiting period for withdrawing a student from the public school system. Be sure you do so in writing (or ask the superintendent for a form, if available) 14 days prior to the date you wish to formally withdraw.
