Happy Thanksgiving from the turkey that chased us on a field trip! . . . . . #thanksgiving #turkey #happythanksgiving
Max went to Breaux Mart grocery store and got some sodas and a snack. He came across this man on his way home. The middle age man was selling a statue or an odd looking creature for only 10 pounds. Max went ahead home without the creature because he did not have enough money.
When Max arrived home ... the state was on his front porch. He was surprised and confused all at once.
He placed the odd statue on his dresser.
The next day was weird. Max woke up somewhere he did not recognize.
He heard a loud scream.
To be continued ...
My vision was foggy, like I wasn’t really there. I jumped in the shower feeling the hot bullets that exploded into water when they hit me. The water started touching my ankle. I opened my eyes and looked down. The water drain stopped up?
I pulled the handle to turn off the shower and let the water go down. The water didn’t turn off. I shook the handle up and down, no use. The water kept getting hotter. Burned me with every drop. I yelped. The water was raising. I pulled the curtain, a brick wall. I pounded the wall, no use. The water was steaming heavily and it was hard to breathe. Deep inhale, long exhale. The water was up to my neck. My body was red from the hot water, still getting hotter. I swam up to the ceiling, breathing the last room of air. Then, I was sucked under water. I struggled, pounding the brick wall with all of my might. My knuckles were sore, about to break. I was getting light headed. My vision getting red and dimmer. My heart stopped, I pushed it to beat but it was dead. I sat up on my bed, gasping heavily. My whole body covered in sweat. It was another bad dream.

When Liam moved in on the block, he knew he was different. Strange things had been happening. The neighbors never spoke to him. Liam thought everyone in the neighborhood looked odd, except for one girl, who lived across the street from him. He had never spoken to her, nor did he intend to, but that all changed one Thursday in October when Liam followed the girl. He watched and followed as she climbed around a cliff. Then he saw something even stranger. She flew up to a cliff above. Liam was amazed. He had to see where she was going. He climbed the cliff after her but couldn’t find her. It was as if she had disappeared. All of a sudden she appeared right in front of him. Liam fell onto the ground.
“Hello Liam, I’ve been waiting,” she said in a British accent. “I will teach you how to fly,” she said.
“Um…..no,” Liam stammered. “Well too bad because you’re going to learn!” “I can’t fly,” Liam yelled. She jumped down, “You won’t know until you try,” she shouted up to him on the ledge. He was pretty sure he couldn’t fly, not yet at least, but she had been flying for nearly ten years now and she believed in him. He jumped and fell face first on the ground. “Another one bites the dust!” she happily shouted. Liam got up with a bloody nose. He now thought she was odd. Maybe the neighborhood wasn’t a normal neighborhood but was actually on Mars!
Then Liam woke up, it must have all been a dream. Or was it? Liam decided to go across the street to visit the girl. When he rang the doorbell, the girl’s father opened the door. “Hello sir,” Liam said.
This just popped up as a memory. Taken during those first few months of homeschooling after a great day where he was SO happy to be home and able to do school in his Batman footsie pajamas and drink hot cocoa rather than venture out in the cold. Its the

Now the story starts on Saturday February 15, 1992. As we look into the window of a large sky blue Victorian house with white trim, we can see a Blue Heron as he wakes from a lovely slumber. He looks at his clock and he says out loud, "It is 9:32 am I have nothing to do here, and duty does not call for me; I might as well drive down to the French Quarter and have a look around.”
So he stands up, puts on a baby blue suite with a black bow tie, and then his black bowler hat with a blue feather. As he walks outside of his house he notices it's a tad bit chilly. He continues walking and gets into his car to drive down to the Quarter. He finally arrives around 10 a.m.
As a couple hours have passed from walking around, he notices a Serpent playing a gambling game with a few other animals. He wonders to himself, “What are they playing?”
He walks up to the Serpent and he asks, ”What game is this?"
As the Blue Heron points to the table with three playing cards on it, the Serpent replies "Oh, this? Why this is Three Card Monte! Would you like to play?"
The Blue Heron answers "Well I don't know how to play!”
"Well can I show you?" asks the Serpent.
"Yes, gladly!" says the Blue Heron.
So the Serpent goes on about how to play saying, "So as you see here, there are three cards on the table.”
As he picks up two cards he states, "Two of the cards are black cards.”
He sets both the cards down and he picks up one more as he says, ”And one of the cards is a red card; you always want to find the red card.”
The Serpent then sets the red card down and starts shuffling them on the table face-down. “So what I am supposed to do is show you all three cards” he exclaims as he reveals the face of the cards.
"And I then I put them on the table face down and move them side to side randomly. When I am done shuffling them you make a bet on which one is the red card" says the Serpent with a grin on his face.
Then the Serpent continues, "How about a couple of practice rounds?”
The Blue Heron says “Okay, why not!”
After playing a couple of practice rounds the Blue Heron thinks the game is pretty easy.
The Serpent then asks, "How about a real round where you bet where the red card is?”
The Blue Heron responds, "Okay, I bet 5 dollars on the middle card to be red!”
After flipping the card over the Snake exclaims "Okay! you win!" as he hands the Blue Heron his winnings. Then he bets 10 dollars on the right card to be red and promptly wins again.
Then the Blue Heron says "I bet 50 dollars on the middle card!”
He wins the 50 dollars, and says out loud, "This is some easy money; how about 100$ on the middle card?”
Then the Serpent says "alright" with a smile as he picks up the middle card. and seeing that it was not red, the Blue Heron says "What! How?”
Then the Serpent says with a smile "Awww man, I don't think you were super focused that round; how about another try?"
The Blue Heron says "Yes! 500 dollars on the left card…all or nothing!"
Again the Serpent slowly picks up the left card, and seeing that it was not red the Blue Heron yells "How did I not win? I kept my eye on it the entire time!"
Then the serpent replies with "You win some, and you lose some!”
With a huff the Blue Heron pays the Serpent his money and goes home.
Some people would say a fool and his money are soon parted; but I would say, "Never play a man, or a snake at his own game!”

I am a reaper. I am death, but I am also life.
She is a survivor, but also one of the deceased.
He is a convict, but he is also the judge.
Words, utter nonsense. He spoke of other worlds and creatures. I understood none of this at the time. I would later fade into this other world. At the time, I was oblivious. I couldn't speak their language for a long time. I could only communicate through hand signals. No-one would teach me for I was mere servant. I would rush down to the well to fetch water, I would always see her there. She was the only one I could understand.
"You are back. Servant Boy, why do you stay?" She pats my head gently.
Why do I stay? I am not bond to the land. At least my body isn't, my spirit is.
Hi, I'm not who you think I am. I might seem like a nice, lovable boy, but I'm actually an ALIEN! *Cue Cliche Drama Music*
