Mom lesson: With social media, it's easy to post about things that make us angry instead of things that bring us joy. Too easy.

And as someone who decided long ago to NOT model the path of least resistance in any part of my life, this realization startled me.

People often ask me what homeschooling looks like each day. Here you go!

Each day, our learning is largely unstructured, though I make sure we hit some basics (including math, Latin, current events and writing). We read, discuss and experiment with science, history, economics and philosophy during the week as well, and have endless resources to guide our efforts - but as all of that happens one-on-one, it leaves a good chunk of the day available for him to explore interests on his own (and for me to write!).
