HSH FLL TEAM [Insert Name Here]
Hyrdo Homeschoolers

Our older krewe, the HSH FLL Team, which is REALLY named "[Insert Name Here]" will be participating in competitions around a theme. And this year's theme is water, more specifically, HYDRO DYNAMICS! We have so much more to tell you about it below! Our Junior team is going on an AQUA ADVENTURE, with a robot to program, weekly lessons and an optional convention to attend. It's an awesome, low-key introduction to robotics and teamwork. |
STEM Superstars: Digital Media Ghost DAW's Diner Justin DeLong Wayne E Garrett, Atty at Law Michael & Lorraine Brown Tech Buddies: Patricia DeLong Justin Brown Friends: Donna Marino Debra LaNasa Josh Brown Sharon McDowell |

The HSH FLL Team has a variety of hydro dynamic challenges they must program their robot to complete, and there's a separate research project: They'll be identifying and proposing a solution to some problem within the human water cycle. It's a very time and thought intensive endeavor, but they're up for the challenge! Beyond THAT, they need to stay mindful of the Core Values while doing all of this. What are these Core Values? They revolve around teamwork and friendly competition. It's something these kids do regularly, so we're guessing they'll ace that portion of the competition when it's their turn in front of the judges. =)

We've attended a couple of Fast-Start events to get our feet wet, ba dum tss - and they've started thinking through their research project - and they're ready to go! But wait . . . this is expensive!
After purchasing the Challenge Kit and all the Lego Mindstorms Robotics we need, along with the registration fee, we're talking $1,000! And that's only for our HSH FLL Team - and before they even compete! So we're looking for team sponsors to help fund our efforts, for both teams. Your contributions will allow us to buy extra parts, which we'll certainly need, and to cover travel costs and help us really put our best effort forward - as it's so very important to us to participate well!

To encourage kids and families to actively fundraise and kickstart that friendly competition mindset, the child/family fundraising the most $$ will win a Sphero 2.0! It's a super cool bit of robotic business - watch the video. Deadline for tallied donations is 10/15/17. You can help whoever sent you here to win by clicking DONATE below and sending any amount, and we'll be so very grateful and tag you on Facebook (unless you say not to) - and there's more: |
