One day two bank robbers named John and Fred were in a car that they stole. All the child would eat was bananas and rice, sometimes separately, sometimes mushed together - it was nauseating. But it was worse when he picked his nose and flung the contents on the dining room wall. These written pieces are emulating Sylvia Plaths' "Mirror." by Caleb I see in a box with no corners. I see pink rocks but they are not heavy, but they are like little protectors. I only see some light. Day in and day out I hear loud makers but I see none of the makers of the makers of the noise. The red birds were flying all around them telling them to go home - they had no chance of winning the race anyway so why bother trying? But Pip, the smallest of the blue birds, was having none of it. These two pieces are emulating Sylvia Plaths' "Mirror." by Meredith Mirror I see what I see, each and every day. I see what I, the lake reflect; I see the birds high above, the trees tall and strong, the sun hanging on the ceiling. At night I go blind, save for the moon and stars. I see all this, but still, I am so alone, with no one to talk to, to share what I see with. Every so often, though, a man or a woman or a child comes along. Sometimes they pass by, uncaring. Other times they stop, look deep within me so I, the reflector, can show them what they need to see. So I can show them what is really there. Sock My life used to stink. It was full of feet, getting washed, then folded, and more feet. My life used to stink, but now it's full of nothing. When I got separated from my partner, all I could do - and all I've done ever since has been to lay at the bottom of a drawer, crumpled and depressed. by Meredith DeLong and Caleb Brown
