2019 Hackschool Conference

You have questions. We have answers.

Join us on Friday, May 3rd, 2019 - from 9am-2:30pm for our second annual Hackschool Conference! This event will revolve around hands-on workshops, with a practical “how to” approach. Parents will network and share info on every homeschooling topic imaginable, and we're excited to add in a Tween/Teen panel this year, by popular demand - so kids can network as well! There will be a main room for the workshops, a vendor room with many vendors offering a wide variety of extracurriculars and educational services, and a room with activities for kids. We'll also be hosting a BOOK SWAP and a CURRICULUM EXCHANGE.

LUNCH INCLUDED - AND IT'S ALL FREE!

Register early, as there's limited space. You'll receive an email confirmation and then watch your email for updates as the day approaches, as it's where we'll share details and specific signups for the workshops to make sure we have enough materials. You'll be leaving the event equipped with valuable tools to guide your homeschooling efforts for years to come - from toddler through teen - and you'll be making a bunch of new friends to cheer you on!
Topics/workshops to include:
  • Dispelling Homeschool Myths
  • Hackschooling In Action
  • How to Unschool
  • Am I Teaching “The Right Things?”
  • Creating Integrated Lessons 101
  • Making Time for Mom (and Dad!)
  • Tween/Teen Panel
  • Creating a High School Transcript
  • and more!

Plan to arrive early to network & hear from a motivational speaker, TBD.
At our 2018 event, a future astronaut, Alyssa Carson, joined us!

Workshop Participation Guidelines

If you would like to join a workshop as a guide, please share some info about yourself and the topic (of those listed above) that you'd like to help with! We'll have four participants (and one moderator) per workshop.

Workshop format/materials/questions will be shared with you ahead of time to prepare for hands-on activities, and there will be a mandatory, virtual "run through" for each workshop as well. On the day of the event, you must arrive 30 minutes before your scheduled time.

Workshop participants (upon request) are welcome to table space to share information and are listed in all event materials. And be sure to prepare handouts/offers to share as well, if you like!
Workshop Participation Please!

Vendor Info: Tables & Advertising

During this event, we welcome all businesses, services, tutors and others to attend and share information. There is no fee to do so, but you must commit to meeting deadlines for inclusion in materials.

Table space is limited and we'd like a good variety of vendors, so please provide a complete description of what you'd like to share and if you can fit it on half a table. Preference will be given to those committing early. Please note, last minute cancellations will forfeit future vendor opportunities.

We'll be listing vendors on this page and in all materials. Deadline for inclusion tbd, but likely 4/1/19 to have time for printing!
Send Me Vendor Info Please!
