This story is part of the "Finding Your Voice" creative writing series, which you can learn more about over on the Hackschooling blog!

"Neptune sure does get cold at night..." she said.
"Yeah, and rainy," Jacob replied.
"This sure is a - a nice trip, huh? And picnic?" Belle said
"Sure!" he didn't sound so sure.
"Belle - is that a tornado coming?" he asked.
"Run! To the shack!" Belle yelled.
"This doesn't too safe inside here," Jacob commented.
"Oh my God! The roof just blew off!" Belle screamed.
"Way to state the obvious!" Jacob screamed back.
"To the ship! Hurry, get in! Belle said.
"Oh no! The thing won't work! Our rocket ship - something's not working," Jacob said defeatedly. "Wait - just a second."
"Where are you going?"
"I'm back, and this should work now. Look, we're off! It works!" Jacob cried.
"Finally, we're out of that nasty storm. Question is, do we have enough fuel?" Belle said as the ship, on queue, sputtered and groaned.
"All we can do is orbit the moon now, I guess," Jacob said.
"Who's that over there?" asked Belle.
"It's an alien. And his ship!" Jacob exclaimed.
"Okay. I have an idea: you punch the guy and knock him out, we steal his ship and leave," Belle explained.
Having executed the plan surprisingly smoothly, Jacob said, "Do you think I killed that alien dude? I punched him pretty hard."
"I don't know. Probably not," Belle reasoned.
"Well, we're home! Back to Earth," Jacob announced.

Based the story off the prompt, "Two friends having a picnic on another planet when a tornado hits".
