by Arianna Bondlow On Monday, February 13 I went to a homeschooling event with my family. I did my fingerprints and stamped them on a fingerprint file card. It was really great because I learned a whole bundle of information in an hour and a couple of minutes. I learned that only 5% of the population has arches in their fingerprints. I mean that is amazing. Mrs. Claire, the host of the event, made some folders for everyone who attended. She is a really great person and very kind. Mrs. Claire taught everyone a lot of information about Crime, DNA, Fingerprints, etc. I also learned it's not just fingerprints detectives look for because they look for stuff like shoeprints, your DNA, palmprints, and lots of others. The first time I attended one of Mrs. Claire's classes last Monday, she taught everyone how to do their DNA, well something like that. I was truly amazed. I'm excited that I had the opportunity to do my fingerprints because I probably would have never thought or considered it. Every time someone commits a crime they always leave something behind even if the detectives don't find it… trust me it's there.
