Calling all homeschool kids - near and far! Would you like to report on homeschool events and activities near you, or projects you're working on, and have lots of people read about it, while honing your writing ability and building a portfolio of published pieces? A place to share all the fantastic things you experience - and even stories you create (fiction and such)? Yes, yes you would! Reach out expressing interest via the contact form and I'll be in touch! To start to prepare for this fantastic opportunity, your first "assignment" will be a bio piece that's introducing you to readers and speaks a little bit about what you plan to share (it doesn't mean that's all you can ever write about, so don't stress about that!). How should this bio look? Here's an intro piece I wrote about myself a few years back for a co-editor position I held for a couple of years (it lives on page 93 of my posts there, so you can see that I've written quite a bit online - both back then and since!). I won't steer you wrong with this stuff, promise. Anyway, it should give you some ideas - and a reason to laugh possibly, which is always welcome. You don't have to be too serious in your intro, is the point - you also don't have to be hilarious. Be YOU. That's all you should ever be anyway, right?! If serious is your thing, do it up! If you fear your personality may be stifled though, fear not. You've found your place, kids! Also - please note, this is a place for not only young authors to share their creativity, but also artists, photographers and musicians. This is a showcase for every sort of creative soul. Happy to share your art, recordings and links to your Youtube channels, should you have one. Also happy to help you create one, as I did for my own little guy (he hasn't used it in a while - rotten kid! - but it's there). THAT info will come later though, after we get this rolling! We also need parent editors - who are welcome to participate on the blog as well, if they like. This page though - this will be ALL kids (with just a little help from a few friendly, censorship-hating adults). This is going to be great!
