Hands on learning, especially in the way of experimenting with science is highly beneficial. It’s very important to always be safe and to have fun! Any student can learn vis reading how chemicals react in science curriculum, but actually being able to do, watch and see can make a world of difference. Build amazing and entertaining science projects to go along with homeschooling lesson plans with these free online resources.

Build an Anemometer
Anemometers are used to gauge wind speed and direction. Building an affordable device is amazingly easy. With a few simple materials, a homemade anemometer can be twirling in the wind in no time.
Ivory Soap Cloud
Who knew when heated soap would expand? Just any soap? Maybe not, but Ivory soap sure will. Not only is it fun to look at afterwards but it’s strangely satisfying to touch and squash between fingers. And only 2 materials are needed! Soap and a microwave.
DIY Lava Lamp
Lava lamps are cool, right? It’s neat to watch the colors buble around and move about. But how are they made? It’s surprisingly simple. With the help of vegetable oil, water, food coloring, Alka Seltzer tablets and a container, a shiny homemade lava lamp is born.
