How to Teach at Home
by Christina Yeager
Richard Lorenzen embarked on his entrepreneurial journey by starting ‘Executive SEO Writing’ when he was only thirteen years old. This led to eventually start a business two years later that would set the course for his enormous business empire. He undertook his home studies seriously, which most likely led to his massive success.
Born to Richard (a fireman) and Christina (a freelance journalist) Lorenzen in Long Island, NY, his mother decided to homeschool him alongside his sister Katie. She merely thought she could do a better job than the local school system. Perhaps, she was right! Richard’s homeschooling began when he was in the seventh grade.
“But I can see now some of the places I’ve had advantages, and also the personal habits I’ve developed, by being homeschooled.”
Mr. Lorenzen's interests took off when he included business studies to his syllabus. He soon after formed a modest SEO writing business online and this would kick-start a very fruitful career. Richard would move on to creating other business ventures in his fields of interest. Fifth Avenue Brands, the now multimillion-dollar business he started when he was fifteen specializes in data-driven public relations. That's an impressive field to follow at such a youthful age!
Richard Lorenzen has plenty of feats to his credit. Besides remaining an influential inspiration to young entrepreneurs across the globe, he has been a keynote speaker and author. Here are a few of his achievements:
“I wrote this book because after giving speeches at schools and community center across America, I saw how badly a practical guide on becoming the kind of person a successful entrepreneur is/was needed.”

Richard Lorenzen never abandoned Fifth Avenue Brands instead; he serves as the company’s CEO and it continues to thrive.
